Spawns don't spawn inside the walls of Fort Slime because underground slime spawns are tied to specific chunks, selected at random, if I recall. So the village had a slime chunk in it thus slimes would spawn there, but you picked a place in between that didn't intersect any slime chunks, and thus no slimes there.

Okay, this had to be shared. Luke, if you place a water source block in the center, it can supply a 9x9 farming area. 4 Blocks out from the water. AND you can place a slab into the water block to prevent falling in, and place a torch on top of the slab. 😁

Every super flat world is somewhat the same( flat grass and villages ) so you don’t need really need a seed
