  • I personally feel bad for Arthas. I know he done so much terrible things to the kingdom of Lordaeron but that was because his soul was taken by the rune blade Frostmourne and became a servant of the Lich King until he became the Lich King He was trying to keep his people save from the Undead Scourge but he ultimately became the very evil that he fought to destroy.

  • This is defined not the Uther I grew up with in Warcraft 3 nor the Uther we saw in Frozen Throne. This is an Uther fueled by revenge. Yes there were two parts of his soul taken, but its still mind boggling to hear Uther speak of vengeance as Justice. When he himself said “Vengeance cannot be a part of what we must do.” Something changed in Uther after Terenas’s death.

    Mahmoud FarhoudMahmoud FarhoudPäivä sitten
    • @Martin Krupa Its just so hard to see a man this noble feeling the need for vengeance. I know that Arthas betrayed him, but in Ice Crown Uther was among those who wept when Arthas passed

  • Shouldn't Arthas have gone to Revendreth? Before he was corrupted he was just trying to protect his people.. he did still murder innocents in Stratholme before he took up Frostmourne but pretty much everything he did before he became the Lich King was on par with the crimes of Kael'thas, who went to Revendreth. The moment he began wielding Frostmourne he wasn't really Arthas anymore anyway as his soul was lost the moment he touched it..

  • Spoiler... So if this Devos wanted to set things right at first by changing the path to fight and stop the maw why did she turn out to be a servant of the maw later? It makes no sense. And she seemed like a major character on the expansion to die at the end of a dungeon?

    Rodrigo AlgortaRodrigo AlgortaPäivä sitten

  • I wonder if the Archon had plans for Uther... and that Devos kept staying on this stray path caused Uther to be vulnerable to the darkness that is threatening the shadowlands. He's ascended, but he didn't "ascend" properly. More like a prematured ascension thanks to Devos' rushed actions. Definitely something to see as more story of the shadowlands unfold.

  • I get everyone is focused on uther, but like, Bastion is pretty shady here. They're like the diablo angels with their policy of non-interventionism and following the word of law no matter what, completely ignoring what is going on or the circumstance. I dont trust them to judge souls at all with that attitude.

    Len KagamineLen Kagamine3 päivää sitten
    • That's the point of them forgetting who they once were, so that they are unable to judge the souls they ferry into the shadowlands. This entire video shows that because Uther failed to forget he therefore took it upon himself to judge where Arthas' soul should go which isn't supposed to happen as that is the Arbitors job (butchered the spelling). These Kyrians are "brain-washed" into pretty much having no real freedom of their own so that they can safely bring souls to the Arbitor where she alone can judge them properly.

    • @God of Grass I am not so sure it is just the will power that helped him. Remember he was seared by the fire of the red dragonflight being lead by Alexstraza. It is possible that gave him some extra power in being able to resist it.

    • @God of Grass Bolivar only had his helmet on him and he started wearing it knowing, he has to resist. Arthas not only also had Frostmourne, but he also used it and used it with full emotions in him, when he could be easily manipulated by Ner'zul

      strandalxstrandalx7 päivää sitten
