A bit more on your defensive stance after throwing jabs would get you what you need, noticed you are slow with your hands guarding your face after punching, other than that you did really well for your size and experience.

I'm all in on Hafþór Björnsson I think he can take the match later this year but Eddie isn't that bad either Eddie got fast punches and decent dodges, it will not be a piece of cake... I think it will be a match of stamina.

after watching this vs eddie's latest "sparring" video, Thor has a boxer's body, Eddie still looks slow and too large to throw a decent punch with any range. Thor looked surprisingly fast here. And I imagine he'll be around the 300lb mark during the fight, vs 340+ in this match.

Credit to Thor for the massive improvement. You just need to make sure you keep with the jab and don't drop your hands too long when you go swinging but still you've proved the people who said you'd get gassed quick wrong, and frankly have been more impressed with your training and dedication than your opponent who seems to think training is beating up his "friend" who doesn't hit back. Keep it up Thor and hopefully you teach him a bloody lesson soon.

Man you looked very well there for an amateur. 7 months of training and looking like that against a pro is pretty good. I'll tell you a few tips though. First stop trying to generate power by throwing wild hands cuz you'll only burn yourself out to no end. Snap them cuz what a monster like yourself have over everybody is power so don't worry about it. I also saw that you're a southpaw so that's a big advantage especially for big guys like you. In a few months you'll have that cross mastered as you step outside quite well as you throw it just no telegraphing and it'll work perfectly. Your footwork is not bad either as well as your defence. You should add stepping to the inside as you jab. It works man! Third take a deep look and study guys like Pernell Whittaker, Manny Pacquiao, Zab Judah, Conor McGregor and Anderson Silva. You have talent so do your work and you'll be a force to be reckoned with.

Thor is right, Eddie is in great shape but he’s not boxing as Thor. Thor looks more like a boxer than a strongman while Eddie looks like neither these days Eddie isn’t being brave by beating up on his long time friend. My takeaway for the Eddie Hall fight is Hafþór took some serious knocks, to the point of a decent amount of bloodshed, but didn't back down an inch. His chin is proven, his mettle tested. I would like to see more focus on jabs and straights, but he has time for that in training - his psyche's in the right place. It was also interesting (and somewhat scary) to see that a shoulder hit by the World's Strongest Man can put a professional boxer on the ground, even if he came straight back up - with some extra zest, Ward seemed to be taking the fight more seriously after that hit, if you ask me.

No better boxing practice than to box. For everyone expecting Ali or Tyson, remember Hafthor is 6'9' and easily 100 - 150 lbs heavier than any current heavyweight. Oh yeah and only 7 months experience. I think he did a hell of a job. He just has to let the hammer left drop. Don't worry about the aggression factor. Eddie is gonna bring the rage out of him during the fight but...Eddie better be careful The Mountain will be too much for the Beast to climb come September.

Looks like a light sparring match for money. Only watched a few minutes of it but it seems the other guy is taking it easy on the mountain.

I like what I saw here more than what I saw in Eddie's video. It's a surprisingly good feeling when you've been punched in the face a few times and realize 'hey this ain't that bad'. You showed a willingness to get hit he didn't have in his bullying of training partners going 50%.

Great job Thor looked really good in your first fight against a real quality opponent.
