  • NOTIFICATION SQUAD: The video starts at 07:52. Am I right though? Is it just me or do 9/10 TV shows and films in Japan kick off with someone walking across Shibuya crossing?! Sorry about the wait for this video folks - I've been working hard on Journey Across Japan: Escape to Fuji! For more details on the upcoming series you can check it out here (www.abroadinjapan.com/escape-to-fuji). It's going to be a lot of fun and it kicks off in the last week of October! The only question remains, should we bring back Dr Jelly? Hmm...

  • so true. ''working hard in japan''. when I was there, all of them were just staring at the screen. Sometimes even slept in the office, because of ''working late''. They asked me, how my workinh hours were back home. I had an office job before that, hours as you made them. So I started at 6 AM, finnished at 2 PM. It worked for me, my most productive hours were between 6 and 11. When I told them that, theye were like ''OMG, what do you do at home in the middle of the day, then.'' At this point as was as shocked as they were. Ayways, I packed my bags as soon as I could.

  • Great vid Chris.👍As a Brit 😨I totally agree with you re food and supermarkets etc. The ready meals can be gross (Cottage pie - Cumberland pie - fish pie - even lasagne.. 👀) just ground slop meat and dry mash (is it potato?😨 ) I grew up on a farm in Cornwall and my mam 💖was oh yes.. a fantastic cook. Thick not the crap thin slices of bacon the supermarkets sell (claiming to be thick slice 👀uhh thinner than my chances of - !- with my next door neighbour 😁a variety of our own home grown veggies -freshly caught fish and even rock crabs which we used metal coat hangers adapted to fish the blighters out with (hmm watch that claw snap snap - yeoooooooow - heck we learned some real English language - Cornish version ere me handsome👀🤣) So yes ex military and around the world plus a lot of back packing with friends/family - I got to appreciate foreign cuisine and for the most part it was totally memorable 👍OK I'm really not into raw fish / meat etc but it does have some health benefits including if they dump the waste water from Fuckishima saving on your electric bills by simply laying out strips of glow in the dark fish.. etc. Stay safe fellow Brit 👍👀😁Oh and is it true that they rarely indulge in the (Great British tradition here ) of social distancing ? Ie 2 metres apart when out and about? cos my sources in Japan are saying they are NOT??? 👀Uhh no at the moment I don't want some Japanese (I should be so lucky) up close and cuddly.. feline cafe maid.. 😉

  • Awesome points. When my family and I lived in Japan we love the fact that people are aware of not being annoying or obnoxious. Leaving wallet, personal stuff in attendant it’s freaking awesome!! Coming back to the states you always see people walking into stores with their phone on speaker mode and everyone can hear their conversations ((dumb)) or people at times see me leaving something in a desk or table unattended and they can’t believe it, I’m guessing bc people always take what’s not theirs. Miss japan can’t wait to go back

Looking at the description of its condition, I expected my Saber to be a crumbled and broken mess... There was a tiny five mm white scratch mark in a corner of the box. I could see that it was never opened... Then, after getting its content, I putted the box in the garbage bin two minutes later. ^^

I for some reason have felt the same way, maybe my mom taught me that but, for some reason it bothers my bf a bit because i also name a lot of things with human names, mostly vehicles. It really is a great way to make yourself respect things more, even if you don't like people, you'll respect objects lol

  • Off topic, I'm having difficulty "remembering" hiragana. I can't seem to imagine them as words. They're familiar, but I can only see them as pictures, not words. I don't know how to switch my brain to see them as words. Should I just focus on raw memorization? I know for Kanji, read the particles and create "little stories" to recall them easier. But, Hiragana, is the basics of basic. I don't believe there is much strategy except for mnemonics.

I watched it and had tears in my eyes, because I laughed so hard, his grumpy, cynical demeaned, his British humor and the way he presents it all is at least to me very entertaining and funny! He is a comedic genius! Well if you take in consideration that he is really Terry Jones all that should not come as a surprise. The bit with Gent Off had me in tears of laughter, also the bit with Yummy cornflakes and the cockerel with helmet and sunglasses was hilarious! My personal favourite is the bit with the Samurai Girls and disgusting food game. Ryotoko was part in that as well and I love him, too, because he plays the perfect counterpart to Chris (Terry). They are like Laurel and Hardy! Natsuki is the coolest bloke on the planet! The bit on the graveyard looking for Did Vicious' grave was pure entertainment gold. Chris or better Terry, I love what you do, don't stop! Its a delight to watch your show! Thank you very much!

  • Maybe the futon helps because the cold surface of the floor keeps the mattress cool. A boxspring usually sits on a frame with the space below it acting as an insulator. So it gets warm rather quickly, which is good for cold winters but is kind of useless during summer.
