  • I was a little unsure, I knew Bjorg and Foreman both retired early in their 20s and then came back. Carl Lewis was a machine for 2 decades and Prost had won titles in his 30s. The only thing that made me think Bjorg was that Foreman won a world title after he came back but at the same time id never heard of Bjorgs comeback

  • I didn't know the answer but I dismissed the Carl Lewis one immediately. As a sprinter you don't retire and then try to come back after EIGHT YEARS in your mid thirties. That would have been just ridiculous, every sprinter would have known that he has no chance what so ever. I knew that Prost was racing for decades and I remembered vaguely Foreman vs Ali so maybe I would be able to guess this one correctly, who knows.

  • A difficult question to work out if you don't know the answer. But would go for a tennis player if had to guess. More likely a boxer, racing driver or sprinter would be successful if attempting a come back at 34. An 80's tennis player less likely. But he didn't have to guess.

  • Becker won Wimbledon at 17. Perfectly possible Borg would have won his 5 Wimbledon's & other titles by the age of 26. Then very unlikely he could return after 8 years out & be successful. In the 80's, 34 was very old for a tennis player. It still is quite old.

  • It's perfectly feasible that Borg could retire at 26. With a lot of grand slams & 5 Wimbledon's. Then perfectly feasible he would have an 'unsuccessful' comeback at 34. Tennis players in the 80's did not carry on as long as they do now.

    adam collinsadam collins28 päivää sitten
  • England's most famous sprinter, Linford Christie had his best years between 26 - 34. After that it was a decline.

    adam collinsadam collins28 päivää sitten
  • Clarkson - 'you've just lost 15k'. (You can say that again). 'Look it's time to go'. (Shut the door on the way out).

    adam collinsadam collins28 päivää sitten
  • He didn't know the answer. You either know it or you don't. However surprising he didn't know. Borg, Foreman & Lewis are three of the biggest sportsmen of all time. Why would Lewis retire at 26 & try to return at 34? It was worldwide headline news when Foreman had a successful comeback. I knew about Borg's record from the age of 8, although not a big fan of tennis. Sport was not his strong point.

  • He didn't know the answer. Fair enough. He then tried to work it out. Fair enough. That can work. However his reasoning was all wrong - boxers and racing drivers can easily retire at 26 & return 8 years later. He had 4 lifelines & didn't use one. Terrible tactics. Using just one could have saved him.

  • This was brutal because he was flying. And what's worse is he had all four lifelines. Yes, there is the tactic to use lifelines if you're not sure but the way he thought it was Carl Lewis, it was as if he had the producers showing the answer to him. I suspected it was Borg and would have known which phone-a-friend to use, so when he went for Lewis, I thought 'well, that's my streak of right answers broken' and then....

    QUIZ FANQUIZ FANUukausi sitten
  • I would have been screwed. But it probably would have allowed me through (using lifelines) I knew it wasn't Alain Prost, being a F1 fan, but I didn't even realise George Foreman was an athlete not just a grill maker until today...

  • I thought that was the easiest question of the episode :) No idea how he got Carl Lewis. 26 isn't the peak for a sprinter, and he also did the relays and the long jump. He was in the news a lot too, with the infamous Olympics when Ben Johnson was caught taking drugs. Then there was the quantity of gold medals, no way he could do all that by 26.

    sharpvidtubesharpvidtubeUukausi sitten
  • Ugh, despite when contestant talks in so much details, he did well for the most part! Was looking forward to see how far it can go, but it hurts when you got it wrong without hesitant! Bummer!
